First IP-in-Action LIVE in Guatemala... A great success!

The event was held for the first time in Guatemala City on 26 July at the Radisson Hotel and included the participation of 13 companies exhibiting world leading IP technology and more than 80 industry experts who shared their experiences, knowledge and expertise concerning the latest video surveillance and access control solutions.

The IP UserGroup Latin America hosted the meeting which met the objective of demonstrating how modern techniques and practices can ensure that individuals, business and IT infrastructures can be secured. The day included a full program of seminars and lectures simultaneously in the Orquídeas and Tucanes salons.

It is the first time that the International Security Technology Forum, IP UserGroup, organized an IP-in-Action LIVE event in Guatemala. Aimed at anyone interested in acquiring practical experience and manufacturers' information on security solutions, the audience included installers, integrators, consultants and end users all looking to keep pace with new developments in the sector.

A Complete Ecucational Programme

The academic agenda of the event was presented by industry leaders: Arecont Vision, Axis Communications (Mexico, Central America & Caribbean), BOLIDE Technology, DIGIOP Technologies, Exacq Technologies, Fluidmesh Networks, HID Global, iluminar , IndigoVision, ISS - Intelligent Security Systems, Milestone Systems, NVT - Networt Video Technologies and Samsung Techwin. The lectures were presented in two rooms at the Radisson Hotel simultaneously:

Orquídeas Salon

The first seminar of the day was given by Edilberto Camacho - Sales Manager North Cone and Central America - IndigoVision, who spoke on Total Security Solutions using Video over IP. This was followed by Carlos Montesdeoca - Application Engineer Latin America, Samsung Techwin who explained the design requirements of an IP network. The third lecture was given by BOLIDE Technology, Elvin Reyes - Territory Manager Central America and Caribbean, who delivered the lecture "iPac - IP Video and Best Technological Features utilized for the Intelligent Video Solution."

The afternoon session began with César González - Vice President of International Sales, DIGIOP Technologies on Video, Data, and Audio Analytics, followed by Antonio Perez - Sales Manager Central and South America and the Caribbean, NVT - Network Video Technologies who spoke on Migration to IP: Alternatives to Standard System, for its session Arecont Vision presented by Andrés Mosqueda - Sales & Support for Mexico & Central America, LRG International, discussed the subject of "Megapixel IP Cameras." The day culminated with live demonstrations by exhibitors in the EXPO area.

Tucanes Salon

The first lecture was given by Andrés Mosqueda - Sales & Support for Mexico & Central America, LRG International, representing iluminar, who addressed the subject of "the art CCTV lighting", followed him Juan Carlos George, Sales Manager Mexico, Central and South America , Milestone Systems, presented the session "Global IP Convergence." Returning for a second presentation, Andrés Mosqueda, presented the lecture "NVR and NVR solutions for Hybrid CCTV " representing Exacq Technologies.

The Afternoon commences with "Data Networks. Physical and Logical Access Convergence" chaired by Nawel Vargas - Regional Sales Manager Andean Region & Central America, HID Global, plus the session "Fluidmesh Presents its New Units for Wireless Video Surveillance for Critical Applications " presented by Marco De La Cruz - Latin America Regional Sales Manager, Fluidmesh Networks, the third seminar of the session was" SecurOS Video Management and Smart Features" from Arlen Encarnación - Business Development Manager, Intelligent Security Systems - ISS.
