A Grand Reception for IP-in-Action LIVE in Medellin

The second IP-in-Action LIVE in Colombia, was successfully conducted this time in the city of Medellin on 24 May 2012, in the diez Hotel south of Medellin. The event had the support of many of the industry-leading IP manufacturers and developers.

The event was attended by over 120 experts on IP technology including representatives from other Colombian cities, as well as delegates from Venezuela, Ecuador and Mexico, including distributors, integrators, consultants, senior executives and end users. Throughout the day the delegates appreciated the new technologies, equipment, solutions and software that is now available to the market and which provides increased efficiency for security and safety systems.

The industry leaders presented during the event, technology such as: HD and Megapixel Cameras, Access Control, IR Lighting , Recording Solutions, Wireless Transmission and Mobile, Perimeter Monitoring, Central Monitoring and Integrated Security. At the end of the day there was a demonstration of camera illumination in the dark by iluminar Inc.

Strengthening IP Market in Colombia

Industry leading companies presenting at the meeting were: Arecont Vision, BOLIDE Technology, DIGIOP Technologies, eConnect Inc, Exacq Technologies, Fluidmesh Networks, HID Global, iluminar Inc, IndigoVision Inc, Infinova, ISS - Intelligent Security Systems, Milestone Systems, NVT - Network Video Technologies, Pelco by Schneider Electric, SAC Seguridad, Samsung Techwin, ScanSource Latin America and Scati Labs.

IP-in-Action LIVE also benefited from the support and participation of our media partners: Seguridad y Defensa Editorial, IPfocus International Magazine, Seguridad en America Magazine, Ventas de Seguridad Magazine and TECNOSeguro.com, who have shown a special interest in developing these meetings in the region, in order to enhance the IP technology in Latin America.

The event occupied three rooms of the diez Hotel, two with simultaneous conferences and the third a large showroom where attendees shared experiences and engaged with the exhibitors to learn more about the latest products.

Andino Salon

In this room there were lectures including, "IP Solutions to Compare - Megapixel and VGA Intelligence" from Samsung Techwin, "Megapixel IP Cameras" from Arecont Vision, "Migration to IP: Alternatives to Standard Systems" from NVT, "Emerging Technologies in Intelligent Video" chaired by eConnect.

In the afternoon the conference focused on, video analytics, access control, convergence, and other IP applications, with sessions including: "Video, Data, Audio and Analytical" from DIGIOP, "IP Convergence Worldwide" Milestone Systems," NVR and NVR solutions for Hybrid CCTV " from Exacq Technologies, "Data Networks. Physical and Logical Access Convergence" HID Global and finally iluminar presented the session "Art of CCTV Lighting" and demonstrated camera lighting in the dark to end the day.

Caribe Salon

The company Fluidmesh Networks was responsible for opening the academic agenda in this room with the conference "Fluidmesh presents his New Units for Wireless Video Surveillance for Critical Applications", IndigoVision also presented "Total Security Solutions for IP Video", for the ScanSource part was the talk "ScanSource - Simplifying: A Model of Distribution of IP solutions that maximize their profitability", concluding the morning with the presentation by Pelco by Schneider Electric "Endura and Digital Sentry - Excellent, Effective and Easy Video Management" .

The afternoon had three conferences starting by BOLIDE who presented "High Performance Video Surveillance and Intelligent Applications for Different Vertical Markets via IP and Hybrid Solution", followed by ISS presenting "On Demand Security & Video Analytics" and the day ended with the presentation "Infinova and the Future of IP technology in CCTV "
