Networked Security Solutions - An Introduction
A general introduction and overview covering the major elements of an IP based security system. This session is ideal for those wishing to learn more about the technology and the critical issues involved in designing or upgrading to an IP Solution. Covering CCTV, Access Control, Remote Alarm Monitoring and Audio this is a great place to start your IP Journey.

Migrating to IP – Dispelling the Myths
This session will guide you through some of the perceived myths surrounding IP and its application in the security market. Delivered by a leading security technologist this is your forum to get a vendor neutral view point. The session will include: Selecting appropriate network infrastructure, Best practice in deploying network video, The variables that affect bandwidth & storage, The value of software applications.

Catching the Bad Guys
This session will cover the basic elements of defining and deploying a successful IP video system including: addressing user requirements, when to consider different compression methods like H.264, MPEG-4, and MJPEG, and how to maximize the investment in an IP system. By using simple descriptive terminology and basic video standards that end users, architects, and integrators can easily understand, you are shown how to develop a series of guidelines that will substantially improve system design and installation.

System Integration
With the increasing demand for high-end system features and disparate equipment integrations, tremendous effort has been made to develop the core functionality of security systems. But have user interfaces really been designed to support those advancements?  We examine how user interfaces can become more intelligent without necessarily becoming more complex, and how the simplification of a user interface will increase the overall productivity of security operators without augmenting their workload.

Mexican State Invests in IP Video for Multi-City Surveillance – Case Study
Chihuahua State in Northern Mexico has deployed a wide-area distributed surveillance system based on IP Video technology. Covering nearly 100,000 square miles, Chihuahua is the largest of Mexico’s states. Its capital and largest city has the same name, Chihuahua and it includes the other major cities of Delicias, Cuauhtemoc, Parral, Nuevo Casas Grandes, Camargo, Creel, Meoqui and Jimenez. The truly distributed nature of the system allows an operator in the state capital to view video from any other city in the region from a PTZ camera that they can control!

Protecting your Investment in Analog: Using Hybrid Technologies
IP solutions can provide many potential benefits, including ease of deployment, reduced infrastructure and increased issue resolution. However, migrating to IP requires careful consideration of all system needs. IP cameras can add value to a video system, but users must weigh the benefits of IP against analog and digital-analog hybrid solutions. This presentation details the factors to consider when applying IP technology, including: Where to best deploy IP & megapixel cameras; Ensuring the best cabling infrastructure to support current and future technologies; Addressing latency and failover; and, Designing a hybrid solution that leverages existing infrastructure and hardware.

IP based Access Control – Technical Considerations
An in-depth study which talks through the advantages and capabilities of Access Control over IP.  Applications of integrating the control as a part of the total solution. This session will cover requirements from the new Access Control Systems in the transition to Enterprise systems including: Introduction to Access Control Communication, Advantages of IP over standard  technologies, Local to Global Connectivity – Enterprise  Solutions, New Web Based Access Control Systems.

Why IP Audio Makes Cent$ for Enhanced Security
In these uncertain times, facility communication has never been more important. Firms must be able to quickly and effectively communicate with their employees, customers and visitors. Systems must be flexible, deploy easily and be cost-effective.  Solutions using IP audio communications is secure, cost-effective, and logical and allow management to have an effective strategy in their protection of assets—human, infrastructure and production.

Video Surveillance and Security – Wireless Solutions to Real World Problems
As the world becomes increasingly security conscious, municipalities, institutions and enterprises of all sizes are discovering that there’s safety in sight. Real-time video surveillance systems are proving to be one of the most effective methods of addressing a wide range of security challenges in both the public and the private sectors. This session covers the advances in the growth of IP cameras and wireless broadband surveillance networks.
